About DELHI POLICE: The Delhi Police is the main law and order agency for the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). It does not have jurisdiction over the adjoining areas of the National Capital Region. Before 1948 Delhi was a segment of Punjab Police. In 1948, Delhi police was restructured with the appointment of Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General and Superintendents. Mr D.W. Mehra became first chief of Delhi Police. In 1966, the Delhi Police Commission was formed which instituted Police Commissioner System on 1 July 1978.
Exam Pattern: Delhi police SI selection will be through SSC. SSC conducts 400 marks written test that was divides into two papers I & II and each paper will be 200 marks. Written exam shortlisted candidates called for interview. Aspirants final selection based on personnel interview performance which will be 100 marks.
